Kevin Callahan

Kevin Patrick Eugene Callahan passed away on March 17, 2025, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut, after a brief illness. He was 53 years old.

Born on December 28, 1971, in Hartford, Connecticut, Kevin grew up in South Windsor and attended South Windsor Public Schools. He graduated from South Windsor High School before embarking on a career as a plumber. Most recently, he was a valued member of the maintenance staff at The Harbor Village Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in New London, where he will be deeply missed by both staff and residents.

Kevin cherished time spent with family, especially during gatherings and holidays. Known for his warm smile and quick wit, he had a knack for bringing laughter to those around him. He found great joy in his time in Quonochontaug ("Quonnie"), Rhode Island, where he loved sitting on the beach or working in his father's garden.

Kevin is survived by his son, Sean of Florida; his brothers Kenneth Callahan (Cindy) of Ledyard, Connecticut, and Christopher Callahan (Teresa) of Enfield, Connecticut; and his sisters Christine Dewlin (Bill) of Punta Gorda, Florida; Gloria Frenette (Jim) of Ashaway, Rhode Island; and Maggie Barry (Dirk) of South Windsor, Connecticut. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, John P. Callahan Sr. and Barbara Ann Lynch Callahan, as well as his brother John P. Callahan Jr.

Kevin's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his love for family and laughter bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
