Kevin Clancy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 11, 2023.
On March 29, 2023, Kevin Sean Clancy passed away in Tahoe, California at the age of 35. Kevin was born in Concord, California and was the son of Donna and Gerry Clancy. Kevin has four surviving siblings: Kelsey Clancy of Edinburgh, Scotland, Rory (Emily) and nephew Lucas Clancy of Sacramento, California, Brendan (Alex) Clancy of Denver, Colorado, and Colin Clancy of San Francisco, California. He had many devoted Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Kevin attended San Ramon High School in Danville, California and went on to graduate from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduating, Kevin began his professional career in Public Accounting. He then worked as a financial analyst for several companies before forming Clancy Consulting, LLC, an accounting and consulting firm in Tahoe, California.

As the owner of Clancy Consulting, LLC, Kevin's desire was to facilitate success for business owners pursuing their dreams and to provide the accounting support necessary for them to make informed business decisions. He was a producer for Wormhole Entertainment and was very involved in the local Tahoe and Bay Area music industry.

Kevin loved music, snowboarding, reading, hiking, and socializing with family and friends. He had a keen sense of humor and a quick wit. He was an incredible athlete, playing football, lacrosse, and rugby well into adulthood. He was an avid Raiders fan. He had a deep love and appreciation for his Irish/Celtic roots, which culminated in a memorable family trip to Ireland in 2017.

As an advocate for helping others, Kevin was an active fundraiser for orphanages operated by Nuestros Peque?os Hermanos. His first volunteer visit to their orphanage outside Mexico City was life-changing for him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations and/or sponsorships be made to Nuestros Peque?os Hermanos (www.nphusa.org/kevin).

Kevin always volunteered to help me with paperwork and meet deadlines. He was very helpful in teaching me how to use the computer and always volunteered to help me with any task. He was quite the gentleman and a very fair and professional young man. I'm very sorry to lose his company and he will be missed greatly in our household.

This should make you smile. 2006 Kevin, Drew, and myself started a rock band out of Drew´s moms garage down the street from School. I´m pretty sure he just picked up the bass guitar on the fly so he could play with us. Although brief and we didn´t make it to MTV that was one of the best times in high school. The guy had it all, sports and a rock band. He was an amazing guy to know through high school. Years later getting to know Brendan and spend time with him was truly a blessing. My heart goes out to all of you.

Kevin was always so kind and fun. We met during his time in college and would run into each other at music shows in SF. Saddened he is gone so soon.

I first met Kevin freshman year at cal poly through mutual friends. We all lived at Stenner Glen and like most college kids our friendships that year would last a lifetime! Our group was close during those years and we all spent time together before, during, and after busy days at poly. So much time, I remember coming home from class to find Kevin in my house, playing my Xbox! We never locked our doors, and everyone was always welcome at any house we would live at. It´s sad and unfortunate such a great person and friend like Kevin had to leave us so early, but I know he will keep the gates open for us all and be waiting to see us again one day! Love and Miss you bro, Go Raiders!!!

I knew Kevin was a very special individual since the moment I met him. His energy was powerful in a beautiful kind way. His artistic heart and soul always saw all the magic in life and what could be.
Absolute best concert buddy, the way he got lost in the music was infectious.
He will be intensely missed and remembered.

So many family memories are filled with Kevin and the Clancy family. I will always remember Kevin as kind, smart and funny. He was the sole reason I survived Biology our Freshman year of high school - helping me understand the material but also trust in myself. He will be so missed and my heart goes to all grieving his loss.
