December 28, 1956 - September 29, 2012
Kevin Blaine Dyck passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 55. Our loving husband, father and grandfather will be dearly missed. Kevin was born on December 28, 1956. Raised in Calgary all his life, he graduated from Viscount Bennett High School. After high school, Kevin started working for the family insurance company where he remained active all his life. An entrepreneur at heart, he was always looking forward to a new challenge to conquer. He spent his last year doing the thing he loved the most, renovating Sandra's and his home where they had lived for the past 17 years. Kevin is sadly missed by his wife of 31 years, Sandra; his son Laird (Alicia), grandsons Elijah and Samuel; son Lynden; daughter Aldene (Steve) Atkinson; his mother Marilyn; siblings Debbie (Warren) Blair, Diane (Desmond) Stepien, Dennis (Tanya) Dyck and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Denis Dyck. Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church (903 - 75 Avenue S.W.) on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 (Telephone 403-264-5549, www.heartandstroke.ca). In living memory of Kevin Dyck, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

I was very saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. We were classmates and teammates on the VB Vikings football team and I have many great memories of Kevin from school and from our games and the post-game gatherings at the Dyck family property at Twin Bridges. My condolences to all of you.

My sincere condolences to Marilyn (we went to school together in Bromhead, SK and come from the same area) and all the Dyck family in the loss of Kevin. He was always so polite, considerate and just a wonderful person. When I taught him swimming, he was always so anxious to learn the different strokes and did so well. It has been a real privilege and honor of knowing him - he was so special. May God be with you all at this time.

Dear Marylyn, Sandra & family,I was deeply saddened when Laura-Lee called to tell me of Kevin's passing. My favorite thing about Kevin was that he Always had a hug and a kiss on the cheek for me whenever I saw him. He was so caring , polite, and considerate, finishing every sentence with "ok Dear." My prayers are for the Dyck family during this hard time. I will always carry Kevin's memory in my heart, and I know his love will live on through his amazing family. I love you guys.
