Dear Girouard Family,
It was such a pleasure getting to know Kevin. He was such an upbeat and happy person, even while in the hospital with us. I was so saddened to hear of his passing, but I know that heaven will shine just a little brighter with him there. My sympathies to all the family.

I was Personnel Secretary when Kevin joined Borden Chemicals & Plastics. That warm, friendly personality and gift for creating smiles and laughter were his greatest assets. Kevin added so much joy to life!

I will always think of Kevin as my brother in law... Kevin was the life and the backbone for any situation he was involved... He kept everyone smiling and laughing... I'll never forget Kevin and Anne's house in Dutchtown that had a huge inground lined pool---Kevin had a time with algae one year when I was there to visit and he wanted us all to enjoy the pool the week I was there... He got so upset with the lining that he drained the pool, but sometime during the night, as the pool was draining, kept the water from fully draining... After breakfast we all decided to go throw darts in the cabana, and as we were passing the pool we noticed a raccoon (alive) floating in the pool...And Kevin said; "Well, at least something is getting enjoyment out of the pool!", but you could clearly tell he was really upset about it when he started throwing the darts and the few "choice" words that he spoke... All my love and prayers go out to the family and friends... Special note to Gramps: Kevin's service was lovely!!!

Kevin was the ring-bearer in my wedding when Tracy and I married at St. Patrick's in Port Sulphur in 1963. The Girouard's lived across the street from my family, the Migues family, in the townsite. I was so saddened when my brother, Darrell Migues, sent me a note telling me of the untimely death of Kevin. There seems to have been a lot of love in the Girouard family and I think those fond memories of your family will help to gradually move forward. Warm regards, Del Norte Migues Lancaster

I first met Kevin on hole #9 at The Lakes course when he initially was to cut trees. Our first tree project together was a hollow tree right of #7. With sawdust flying, he soon discovered ... angry bees and a massive hive. Later we robbed the honeycomb, enjoying honey for days.

Quite symbolic of the Kevin I will remember..plenty of shared hard work, adventure.. and a rewarding friendship.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
