Florence Adams Obituary
She was born November 7, 1926 in Akron, OH the daughter of Glen and Miriam (Guthrie) Madden.
Florence married Philip R. Adams on July 30, 1944 in Danville, IL. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Covington, where she was involved over the years in many different areas of service, especially teaching Children's Church and Awana. She loved children and established one of Covington's first licensed daycare centers, and was affectionately known as "Mamaw Adams" by many.
Florence is survived by her husband of 67 years; four children: Patsy Perry of Covington; Dan (Sri) Adams of Jakarta, Indonesia; Mike Adams of Covington; Sue (Roger) McCann of Veedersburg. She is survived by 9 grandchildren: Kim Perry, Emma Adams, Esther Hall, Deborah Adams, Ronald Adams, Brian (Jami) Adams, Ryan (Tory) McCann, Kelly (Adrian) Casanova, Caleb McCann; 5 great grandchildren: Bryana Perry, Jacob Perry, Noah Adams, Conner Adams, Drew McCann. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roy and Paul Brazelton.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p. m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with services there at 11:00 a. m. Saturday April 7, 2011. Pastor Joe Humrichous will officiate and burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
