When I had heard of Kevin's passing my jaw dropped. I had just spoken to him the day he was leaving the slope. I hope you can find solace in the fact that all that knew him up here at work in Alaska thought of him as a friend with a kind and generous soul. Though you are enduring this unimaginable pain and loss, I hope you find smiles and laughter when you remember Kevin at his best. My heart goes out to all of Kevin's family and closest of friends... The world lost a real good guy...

Worked with Kevin up on the north slope for about a year. He was a loud and proud guy, and brought a lot of life to a what would be considered a rather dull office setting . I as will all his friends (coworkers) miss him very much. There is a sort of common bond to all of us that inhabit this planet at the same time. It was a pleasure and joy to have run into Kevin.

It is so sad to hear of Kevin's passing. I first met Kevin, or "Rusty" as I knew him, in 1984. He was one of the first friends I met when I moved to Richmond that year. Although I have not keep in touch with him the last few years, I have always had fond memories of the times we spent hanging out together. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.
