Dear Kathy, I'm just returning from being out of the country and was shocked when my sister Chris informed me about Kevin. I will never forget his sister's routine. I can still see the big smile on his face. He was the absolute best. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Kathy, We are so sorry and were so shocked to hear of Kevin's passing. It just seems like yesterday when we lived back in MD and worked at McCormick together. We have so many fond memories of our time back there and especially times with you and Kevin. It's been literally half a lifetime that since I've seen Kevin and most of a lifetime since Kevin and Sean came over with Barry and Brent Boone to meet the new kids on the block. You see Kevin and Sean saw the opportunity that three of the four Takesians would offer to indulge their greatest passion: baseball! The years that followed gave us many a summer day hitting tennis balls out of the yard and running bases until there was a meltdown due to a bad call or we were called home for dinner. Kevin was a truly kind and funny guy even at 12! As we went on about our lives it seems that he stayed very true to who he was then: a guy who knew how to be a friend and a great neighbor. I am so sorry not to have seen him in the past few years. My deepest sympathies go out to you and the boys and to Miss Doris, Michael, Sean and Kelly, and all the family; my thoughts are with you during this sad time. As you share your memories of Kevin with friends and family I have no doubt that he will there with you be just on the other side of life's wall, smiling and laughing as always, and crying just a little, along with you. May you find peace in having had the wonderful fortune to have him in your world.

Kathy and family - Kevin was such a bright light at McCormick. He always had a smile and a hello for me whenever I saw him, and always made me laugh. My fondest memories are of him and Stevie G doing the live auction for C-Day. They were so hilarious that I would be practically in tears. I am so sorry for your loss. His incredible spirit, devotion to you and the boys, and his impact to so many McC folks was extraordinary.

The one memory of Kevin that stands in my mind is his remembrance of his dad. I recall traveling with Kevin several years ago for a broker CRM training, and in the Tampa airport TSA line, he started tearing up talking about his dad (Coach, if I recall?). Today, I envision Kevin and Coach united in Heaven, arms around each other, catching up on all the amazing things his son has done in his time here.
