Born in Orange County California, Kevin passed away in Folsom, California where he had been living for the last three years. Prior to that, Kevin lived in the San Francisco Bay area for the previous 40 years. In 1979, he graduated from Clayton Valley High School in Concord California and college at UC Davis, graduating in 1983.

Kevin had a lifelong passion for hiking and bicycling, frequenting rugged landscapes in the East Bay Regional Parks areas, and the Sierra Nevada. One of his favorite areas for hiking and bicycling were Mount Diablo State Park and Point Reyes National Seashore. He was often accompanied by his long-term friends from High School and many others. Kevin also made numerous trips throughout the United States, often targeting small towns and rural locations that were little traveled. He kept a day-to-day journal on most of these trips to describe what he was seeing and feeling. Kevin had a strong interest in people with different lifestyles and living circumstances and made many friends along the way.

Kevin held several jobs throughout his life, primarily focused on social services, aiding his fellow citizens and the elderly. Kevin was an excellent writer and researcher. During his retirement, he wrote poetry, as well as several books covering the lives of a number of noteworthy people. For his last three years in Folsom, Kevin was engaged as a disc jockey and program developer at KDVS, a public radio station at UC Davis, his alma mater.

Kevin leaves behind his parents, a brother and sister as well as numerous friends and acquaintances.
