Kevin Patrick Moran

Kevin Patrick Moran passed away at the age of 46 surrounded by his siblings on the morning of Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 in Fairfax, Virginia. Kevin was born February 15th, 1978 in Fairfax Hospital as the oldest of Mary Jane and Dennis Moran's six children, both of whom he is now reunited with.

Due to Kevin's disability and medical needs, he lived much of his life at Northern Virginia Training Center in Fairfax. While living there, Kevin received incredible care from the center's staff who quickly became like family to Kevin and his five siblings. He enjoyed daily visits from his grandmother Pat, strolls along the training center's grounds, and the highly anticipated holiday parties. For many years Kevin was a beloved participant in The Kilmer Center's programs for disabled children and adults in Vienna, Virginia.

In 2016, Kevin relocated to The Arc Group Home in Prince William County where he was able to live much closer to his mother. Once again, Kevin received amazing care and love from the staff which Kevin's surviving family members are eternally grateful for.

Kevin did not live a life free of suffering but was strong and resilient, always finding a way to overcome adversity and warm everyone's hearts with his infectious laughter. Kevin especially loved music, birds, and spending time outdoors.

Kevin is preceded in death by his two parents, Dennis and Mary Jane Moran. He is survived by his five siblings, Megan, Tim (Michelle), Mark, Terrence (Alison), and Kelsey, as well as his six nieces and nephews, Micah, Micaiyah, Tessa, Stella, Ronan, Aisla, and grandnephew, River.

Due to the recent passing of Kevin's mother, Mary Jane, the two services will be held together as we are sure both Kevin and Mary Jane would have wanted this. The viewing will be held at the Adams-Green Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170 on 24 September 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Catholic mass and memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree St, Herndon, VA 20170, on 25 September 2024 at 11:00 am; with a repass to follow.
