I remember everything about Kevin...an Amazing young man of only 18 years with us, but mostly, (and selfishly) I remember how he always hugged me when he saw me AND made the announcement to his group of friends always around him..."You want to hug this lady whenever you see her!"
Kevin...how much we love you...❤

October 7, 2010

To The O'Connell family,

I met Kevin on his first day of school in Everglades High. He was in my P.E. class, and I noticed he was sitting all alone, so I went right up to him and asked him if he'd like to join my friends and I in a game of volleyball... and with big, beautiful, welcoming smile he happily agreed. He quickly assumed the leader position... and ever since then, Kevin became apart of our everyday lives. Andrea, Alexix, Larissa, Estabon, Craig, Gi, and myself will NEVER forget him... volleyball just wasn't the same without him, and now the rest of our lives wont be the same either...
He was a wonderful friend, who gave the most amazing hugs. He left so much love inside all of our hearts... and I'll NEVER forget him...
Your family is in my prayers.

The last time I saw Kevin, he signed my yearbook saying:
"NOORA! What can I say? You were the best part of P.E. You always brighten my day. I'm really glad I met you. I hope you have an amazing future ahead of you. Love you. -Love, Kevin O'Connell"

To the O'Connell Family,

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear O'Connell Family,
The sudden loss of Kevin brings us all to our knees...first, in thanksgiving, that we KNOW a God that blessed this earth with such a sweet, loving, kind person as Kevin. Second, with a serene joy that somehow this young man who was so gifted, gave us so much in his short life...and third (only a beginning) that we ARE the chosen recipients of an inheritance that will never end~the very inheritance that Kevin sang of in his "person" and will now sing of with a choir of heavenly voices. In the quiet stillness that is always ahead, may our great God bless you with the sound of that choir, the hope of being reunited and the happiness to have loved and been loved!
I will remember you all in prayer, always...
