When I think about Uncle Kevin, I remember a man who embodied the true spirit of an Eagle Scout-not just in his youth, but throughout his life. My Uncle Kevin was the kind of person who quietly and steadily made the world a better place, one small act of kindness at a time.

Kevin was an even-keeled, relaxed soul who approached life with patience and a gentle hand. He was a man of many talents-someone who could build a house with his own hands and then add rooms as his family grew. He was incredibly handy, always knowing how to fix things, and his calm demeanor and unwavering support were constants in our lives.

He loved his children and grandchildren deeply. He loved being at the ball fields watching Zach when he was young and now the same for his grandson Zachary. He often talked about his granddaughter Abi. And he carried a profound love for his daughter Kellsey. When we lost Kellsey unexpectedly, it changed Kevin forever. Though he continued to be the rock we all knew and loved, a part of his heart was forever with her. It´s comforting to think that they´re together now, their spirits reunited.

Uncle Kevin also had a special bond with his nephews-my brother and me and his grand nieces Kalyn and Londyn. He never missed a birthday, and each Christmas, he found a creative way to hide a little money in a gift that was always uniquely thoughtful. It was his way of showing that he cared, that he saw us, and that we mattered to him. He and aunt CC made annual trips to Oklahoma and often timed those visits w a tennis tournament or equestrian show or school play. They came to Oklahoma
In May and met Jarin´s daughter, baby Zya These moments are among the many reasons I´ll always cherish his memory.

He loved Aunt CC with all his heart, and their marriage is something I looked up to. They did so much together, creating a partnership built on love, respect, and shared adventures. It´s the kind of relationship that I aspired to have in my own life-a true example of what it means to be in a loving and committed marriage.

Along with my dad we shared many rounds of golf together, a game he loved almost as much as he loved fishing. He certainly loved his time on the lake fishing with the kids. Uncle Kevin was also a man who gave back to his community, volunteering at the food bank, quietly helping others in ways that many might not have even known. It was just who he was-a great human being who carried himself with dignity and grace.

He was a devoted son to Grandma Mary Lou and Grandpa Gene, making sure to stop by daily for lunch to visit with them, just another example of his steady, loving nature. He was always there for those he loved, and in turn, he taught me the importance of being there for my nieces and nephews, to show genuine interest in their lives as he did in ours.

Kevin loved music and the guitar and started to play a bit after he retired. In the last couple of years, I would often get a text from Uncle Kevin asking me if I had heard the band playing on CBS Saturday Morning. Many times I had heard of them or had seen a few of them play live. I started watching the show after a few Saturday texts... a small but meaningful ritual that kept us connected. It´s in these simple moments that I see the quiet, patient, gentle superman that Kevin was-a man who battled a disease for 25 years, always with strength and courage.

When I look back and think of the male role models in my life, Kevin stands tall among them. He was taken from us too soon, but his spirit and the lessons he taught me will live on in my heart forever.

Uncle Kevin, I love you. Play a round with my dad up there, and know that you´ll always be missed.

My true condolences to the entire Proctor Family. Kevin was truly a Gentleman. One of the nicest gentlemen I knew from the Class of "68" and thereafter! Cherish your Memories!!

Kevin was a kind friend, a great Dad, and most importantly a husband who treasured his wife. We are so grateful for his life and the sweet impact he had on so many.

Carolyn, very sorry to hear of Kevins passing. He was a stand up guy.
