I am still in disbelief that Kevin is gone. I realize how blessed I was to have the opportunity to walk this final journey with him hand-in-hand. Only our Omnipresent God could have orchestrated the last few years to make it happen. In his own quiet, non-presumptuous manner, Kevin was an amazing man. He never pretended to be anything except himself and had no interest in people who were fake or had hidden agendas. Life has taught me that some people aren't what they pretend to be, but that was definitely not the case with Kevin. I already miss him terribly but the wonderful memories we made together will keep him with me forever. I now have one more reason to look forward to heaven. Kevin will have my chair pulled out and he's such a Southern Gentleman, I believe he'll be holding the pearly gates open when I get there. He will always be PawPaw and this MawMaw will always love him.
