Kevin SKINNER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 6, 2024.
Kevin P. Skinner, known affectionately as "Skinz," passed away on June 30, 2024, at the age of 38 in Kirkwood, NY. Born on September 9, 1985, in Binghamton, NY, he was loved by his family and many friends.

Kevin graduated from Chenango Valley High School and furthered his education at Broome Community College. His career in the automotive industry was a significant part of his life, having been inspired by working alongside his father, Harold "Bud" Skinner. This experience not only shaped his professional path but also deepened the bond with his father, who predeceased him, along with his loving grandparents and many other family members.

Described as a genuine and kind-hearted individual, Kevin's presence was a comfort to those around him. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills, passions that were only rivaled by the love he had for his fur baby, Nova, who was always by his side.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Erin Frano Skinner, and his stepchildren Orien, Caleb and Madison. His mother, Karen Barnard Skinner; his brother, Todd Skinner; and sister, Kelly Skinner Neville, will dearly miss him. He also leaves behind his special uncle and roll model, Michael (Nancy) Barnard and many nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friend, Chelsey Hall and her children, Brayden, Madi and Wyatt all of whom held a unique place in his heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Kevin's memory and his impact on the lives of those he touched. His legacy of kindness and the joy he brought to his family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Growing up whenever id see him, he'd always say hello, he'd always make small talk, always had a smile on his face, always so nice and genuinely happy to see you. He will be missed, he made a lasting positive impression on people way back when he was young, rest easy Kevin.
