Kevin G. Straley

Kevin G. Straley passed away at his home in Traverse City on May 2nd, 2024. He was born in Flint, Michigan on July 20th, 1958 to Gary and Sharon. Kevin graduated from Kingsley High School and obtained a degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern Michigan College. He worked for airlines at Cherry Capital Airport and Muskegon County Airport for 20+ years in customer service management. Kevin also owed his own business, Straley Press West. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and hiking- especially with his family. Kevin was a leader of scout troops and held the title of 'Life Scout' with the Boy Scouts of America. He was an affable, jovial, and outgoing person who made friends wherever he went. His greatest joy in his life was, is, and will always be his children and his family.

Kevin survived by his twin brother Keith; fathers Gary and Gar (Carol); his children Crystal, Zacharie, Nathan, Samantha, and Benjamin; siblings Gar (Anne), Jeff (Barbette), Jesse (Lindsi), Tami (Cory); his three grandchildren; Kevin also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends that were by default always his family in his heart.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mothers Sharon and Darlene; sister Sherry; brother Billy.

To honor his wishes, there will be no formal service and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Kevin asked that anyone who wishes to honor him please do so by making memories, sharing your stories, and spending time with your loved ones.
