Kevin Treme Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 2, 2018.
Kevin Todd Treme, 55, of Sugar Land, TX passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital. He was born on November 2, 1962 in DeQuincy, LA. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, boating, and loved riding his motorcycle. Kevin loved being in the outdoors and loved being with his family. He was known as the "Master Grillman" and everyone loved his BBQ. He was a very hard working man and provided for his family. In the children's earlier years, he would take them to the Rodeo and would ride horses with them. Every year at Christmas time, he would put up lights for 3 acres of land and a tradition every year was reading "The Cajun Night Before Christmas" to his kids. Kevin loved being a part of his kid's sporting events and would take them to Astros games, and every year they would go on family vacations. In Kevin's early years, his sister, Joan would take care of him and was known as his "Bodyguard". Growing up, he enjoyed being with his siblings and cousins playing outdoors and getting into anything they could find to get into, including Papaw Charlie's paint. He was a jokester and always had people laughing around him.

He is survived by his son, Logan Treme and wife Mallory of Dickinson, TX; two daughters, Kayla Treme and partner Josh Moore, Taylor T. Wilburn and husband Matt of Sulphur; mother, Marie Brown of Sugar Land, TX; father, Winfard Treme; sister, Joan T. Decker of Parkersburg, West Virginia; one brother, Wendell Scott Treme and wife Supara of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Emma Rae Treme, Kaden Lane Wilburn, Draken Moore, Julian Moore, Addison Moore; nephews, Arm Treme, Westley Treme, Kolt Decker, Jared Decker; and cousins too numerous to list.

Kevin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Dorothy Brown; along with paternal grandparents, Jack and Elda Treme.

Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Hixson Snider Funeral Home of DeQuincy with Bro. Bruce Austin, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
