Kevin Tysinger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2024.
Kevin Wayne Tysinger, 63, passed away at home on July 26, 2024, in Mountain Home, Idaho. Born on July 28, 1960, in Petaluma, California, Kevin spent 40 years of his career as a dedicated long haul truck driver and the last 16 years driving for D&D Transportation, a job that kept him on the road often but never far from the hearts of those he cherished.

Kevin's life was marked by a boisterous and affectionate personality. Known for his loud, loving presence, he made his mark not just in volume but in the depth of his relationships. His love for life was palpable, and he had a unique way of making everyone feel important, especially his family. Despite his extensive travels, he remained closely connected to his loved ones, ensuring he checked in daily.

At home, Kevin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Tysinger; his father, Manuel Ferreria; his children, Logan Tysinger, Echo Tysinger, Patricia Giltner, Tim Raso, and Joe Raso; and his siblings, Randy Tysinger and Tony Ferreria, numerous nieces and nephews. His life was further enriched by his 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Ferreria, sister, Tina Ray and grandparents Franklin and Margaret Jordan.

Kevin's hobbies included shooting and taking road trips, activities that reflected his adventurous spirit and love for the open road. These hobbies allowed him to explore and enjoy his time, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Respecting his wishes, there will be no services. However, a celebration of life will be held at Legacy Park, with the date to be announced, where friends and family will gather to honor the vibrant life and enduring spirit of Kevin Wayne Tysinger.

I remember back when we were all kids. 10 of us kids and our 4 parents living in the same house. Tony might have been a toddler back then. Kevin was always famous for getting all the kids riled up and get us all going. He and I later in life would always joke about the Pink Panther cereal we always had to eat. Made me have nightmares lol. Kevin was always the cousin glue. Made it a point to check up on family. Darlene, my heart aches for his loss, but also is shattered knowing you lost such a precious presence in your life. I love you from the bottom of my heart.

I remember visiting you all in Mountain Home and Kevin knew I loved to read. He had a big collection of books and gave one he thought I would enjoy. He was right. He was very thoughtful. He always considered others. So sorry Aunt Darlene for your loss! Love, Nikki

Kevin was like a brother to me, he took me under his wing and showed me the ins and outs of trucking. Always giving inside information and advice. Even if he called in and was yelling, he was never yelling at you but at the drivers or situations around him. He would always take a deep breath and say "hi sissy" and I would always say "you done yet?".
Kevin you are one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Until we see each other again one day, keep the big guy upstairs entertained.
