KIM COLLINS Obituary
Deaconess Kim Michelle Collins was born January 3, 1966, to Norma B. and the late Claiborne T. Turner, Sr. at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa.
Kim graduated from Petersburg High School with her beloved classmates of the Class of 1984. She continued her education at several institutions of higher learning including: Southside Regional LPN School, John Tyler Community College and Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. Much of her career was practiced while under-going treatments for breast cancer. Her career choices were all service-oriented and included: Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, Nurse's Aide Instructor and Hospice Nurse. Additionally, she exhibited her entrepreneurial skills as the Owner/Operator of Higher Dimensions Driving School and Author of the book ""War Wounds.""
Kim was baptized at the age of 12 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Petersburg, Va., and she was saved at 22, which was a life-changing experience. For the past several years, she has been very active at United Nations Church International in Richmond, Va., where she and her church family provided tremendous support for one another.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband Luther ""Junnie"" Collins; and three daughters, Kimesha, Sierra and Kymera; devoted loving mother, Norma Turner; mother and father-in-law, Luther P. and Margaret Collins; siblings, Kevin Turner (Jackie), Claiborne Turner, Jr. (Priscilla), Sherone Turner, Michael Turner (Emily), Judy Berry (Emmett), Terry Turner and Jewel Werts; as well as her sisters-in-law, Gloria Kirven (Hikie), Cynthia Robinson (Jacob), Felicia Scott, Margaretta Wilson and Demetria Trent (Kenneth); uncle, Robert L. Bullock; aunts, Dr. Marion Lee, Patricia Lee, Crystal Bullock and Jacquelyn Johnson; great-aunts, Rebecca Ridley and Dorothy Robinson. Kim is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Don't be fooled by Kim's beautiful smile…She was a fierce competitor in her battle with breast cancer, determined not to be defeated. In her 50 years, her wonderful spirit touched and inspired many, especially her three daughters who loved and will live her legacy.
Service for Deaconess Kim M. Collins will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, May 28, 2016, at United Nations Church International, 5200 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, Va., Bishop Orrin Pullings, pastor, eulogist. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
Wake from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at the funeral establishment.

To the Collins/Turner family, it saddens me to know that Kim has gone on to glory however, I rejoice that I knew of her, and that she has made it in the Kingdom, the land of no more pain, no more suffering.

(Bullock, Turner and Collins Family's) The Bible tells us that Almighty God's will is good, acceptable, and perfect in every way. To live life at it's spiritual best, discover Almighty God plans and desires for us, and then we must walk in them every day. And yet certain hindrance can prevent our discerning His intentions for us.
The Bible indicates the Father will always be greater in power and authority. Obviously, Almighty God the Father will never get old or retire or die. So He will always be the unquestioned Head of the God Family. Even Jesus Christ said, "My Father is greater than I" (read John 14:28). Almighty God's purpose is giving us life and breath is that we may join Him and His "firstborn" Son, Jesus Christ. True Christians have an absolutely awesome opportunity and future ahead. Be Bless.
