Kim Gaut Obituary
Born on June 22, 1956, in Mishawaka, Indiana, Kim lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to others. For over four decades, she devoted her career to serving the Hearing Impaired community. Her work left a lasting impact on countless individuals and families, and her commitment to accessibility and inclusion was both inspiring and transformative.
Kim was known for her boundless kindness and thoughtfulness. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people-she truly never met a stranger. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she encountered, creating a legacy of love and empathy that will endure through the many lives she influenced.
She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Mandy (Joey) Musso, Shannon (Jim) Hughes, and Samantha (Michael) Green. Kim was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Peyton and Kiley Musso; James (JR) and Aidan Hughes; Luckas, Haley, and Braylen Green. She also cherished her great-grandchild Shane Musso. Kim is survived by her sisters Kathy Strombeck and Kory DeMeulenaere; her brother Kirk (Nancy) DeMeulenaere; and many others whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
Kim's strength throughout her twelve plus years of cancer was nothing short of heroic. She faced each day with grace and determination-a true warrior in every sense of the word.
May Kim's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire acts of kindness in the world she leaves behind.
