Michele and I dated during her last years in high school until I left for the Service in late1970. She was a sweet and beautiful young lady. We went our separate ways when she went off to college and lost touch. I just recently learned of her passing. She obviously had built a wonderful life for herself. My condolences to her family.

Kim was a great person to know, and a very fair Sup at the office. I rode my horse to her house a few times before she retired. Glad to hear she had a great retirement, so sorry her life was cut too short. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

Blair and Laurie, I am so sorry to hear of Michelle´s passing. What a wonderful tribute to a life well lived and well loved. My best memory of Michelle being the big sister was when she tried to pierce my ears with a needle and a potato. Blair almost passed out and it hurt too much to do the other ear. Growing up in our neighborhood was always one adventure after another. I´m so glad to see Michelle continued those adventures all through her life. My deepest condolences to her husband and to your wonderful family.

We went all the way through school together. We met in Miss Betty's afternoon kindergarten at Bangor West and graduated from John Glenn in 1971.
She was always a sweet and caring person. Sorry to lose another classmate.
Prayers for your family and the dear friends she leaves behind.

Hughes Family I deeply feel for you loss. I did not know your sister but she sounds like the kind of person anyone would love to know. Whoever wrote this obituary about Kim did an absolutely wonderful job portraying her well. My prayers for her family and husband my they find the strength and love to manage through this difficult time.

Dear Mort, my heart is with you. Michele brought the sizzle to so many of our lives. I loved her adventuresome nature, thirst for questioning why (or why not) and ability to get right to the heart of the matter. She lives on in all those she loved. Sending love and music your way.

Shocked!! Can't believe Michele has passed...I always remember grilling shrimp on the "barbie" out in Lawton. She had a wonderful smile and laugh. Funny, loving, giving, and just a great human and woman. We had a lot of good times together, in the old days, and I will cherish her memory. My heart goes out to her family and husband, Mort, and hope the healing will be swift. Rest in Peace dear Michele.

I am richer for having known Michele. This woman really lived and had all the stories to prove it. She gave us Beaver Island, Chardonnay on ice (in a tumbler), hot dog roasts, and a love for world travel. She never forgot a birthday and always gifted our daughters with a vintage dress on their birthday. Seeing her interact with them will remain some of my fondest memories of Michele. On Christmas, she never failed to send us one of Maria's garlic garlands. Her and Mort's marriage and sense of adventure has had a great influence on Pat and I. I am grateful Michele welcomed me into her family and I didn't take it lightly, knowing how much she adored her nephew.

Blair and Laurie,
What a great life she lived. Whoever knew her knew she was special. 707 Webb was a second home for me growing up. The Hughes family was the best. I´m blessed having known all of you. I never knew her name was Kim.
RIP Michelle.

Such an amazing writeup for an amazing woman, and a dear friend whom I shall miss. One of my fondest memories was when we were having cocktails (duh) with friends up north, and we were story telling (who knew?). Michele was laughing so hard (about my educational history) that she was in tears, and I got to giggling and just couldn't stop! It's a best memory that I will never forget. I'll miss that...for now, but maybe later at Frog's Pond?

So sad.
From grade school through high school and always with a smile.
The JGHS Class of `71 has lost another bright light.
Our prayers are with the family.
Michelle, you will be missed.

Kim Michelle and I started working for the state of Michigan on the same day and we went to training together. She was a big help to me during that training and turned into a great work buddy. She bought me my first bird book (which I still use ) and helped me get started on my "life list" of birds. While I haven´t seen her in years, I´ve thought of her often and am shocked and sadden by her passing.
