Age 48, of Oakdale, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Beloved daughter of the late John Groff and Karen Barnes; loving mother of Ashley (Joshua) Schwabenbauer; beloved sister of Michelle Groff, Matt Barnes, and James Barnes; also survived by her feline friends, LucyFurr, Heavy D, and Henrietta. I still can't believe that this thing happened just came to know recently about her sudden demise. I had a chance to work with her when my company was getting transitioned to FedEx since I had a task of knowledge transfer through the Engineering Management team. I still can't believe that she is no more she was charming, kind and very helpful. I have no words to say further more as I'm speechless. Rest in Peace and condolences to her family stay strong she's in safe paradise heaven with almighty.

Kim,
Can't believe that I invited you to a happy hour a few months ago but you couldn't make it because you picked up a couple kitties that you were going to foster.
Worked with you at two different jobs for years, had many funny and good times. I knew everything about your life, your family, your kitties. Felt like part of the family. We had some damn funny times.
You were amazing, smart, caring, a great mom. Just a good, goofy, funny person.
Glad I met you and got to spend some great times with you and friends.
You'll be missed but those stories will NEVER be forgotten.
Hopefully there is a 24 hour open bar with a swimming pool where you're going!

I just met Kim when she was looking for a home for her kitty Lil Boo, I became cat friends with her and I know I will miss talking kitty talk with her. I send my condolences to her family, I will miss you.

With heartfelt sympathy to the Family of Kim, and to Kitty Queen Cat Rescue in which she was such a big part. I didn't know her but she had texted me about my cat I got at Kitty Queen and kittens that she cared for & brought them back to healthy. She is in a special place in Heaven & she will be in my and Daisy Mae's hearts forever.

I'll never meet another goofball like you! 25 years of laughter. I'm just so sad that you are gone. I'll take care of Heavy D, Maggie and Pete agree to adopt him and be his cat parents! They both always wanted a baby. Pete said he'll teach him how to play with cat toys and handle his catnip! I can't believe you're gone. This week alone I've already had 4 things I needed to tell you. Well where do I start we met in Bahamas in 2007 and became Facebook friends , you visit my home in the sunny Doncaster Uk on two occasions met up again with us in Dominican Republic , them memories will last a life time we got on so well and so you did too with the rest of our family the grandkids adored you but who didn't my ABF I'm so going to miss you and are goofy chats lol rip Kim gone but not forgotten love you for ever Katrina steve and family

RIP Kimberly Groff
I attended high school with Kim. She was a good and caring friend. I had recently reconnected with her on Facebook and loved her passion for rescuing Kitties and would enjoy her pictures of her fosters she was taking care of at the time. She would always talk about coming home to eat at Tillie's restaurant. RIP KIM
