Kimberly Ann Murphy

Of Beechview, formerly of Brookline, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 6, 2016. Beloved wife of Shawn P. Murphy, devoted mother of Shamus (12) and Kaitlyn (11), daughter of Robert L. (Patricia Walton) Donalies, sister of Shelley L. Donalies, stepsister of Sherry Zinn, Candace Zinn, Karen (Matt) Schneider, Charles Zinn and Christian (Kelly) Zinn, Daughter in Law of Thomas and Barbara Murphy. Sister in Law of Holly (J. Eric) Peters and Colleen (John) Geyer. Dear Aunt to many nephews and nieces. Kim had a passion for flowers, received a degree in horticulture and worked for many years in the floral industry. Later, Kimberly shared her compassion for others and her strong work ethic as a Certified Nursing Assistant, most recently at Providence Point. Shawn and Kim married in 2000 in Acapulco, Mexico, after a very long courtship. Kim shared Shawn's love for their Irish heritage and will be remembered for being a loving and supportive mother who devoted herself to her children. Friends received 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. THURSDAY ONLY at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD, 2201 Bensonia Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Interment in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that the expression of sympathy take the form of donations to the Kimberly Ann Murphy Memorial Fund.
