Kimberly Sexton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 5, 2024.
Sunday, August 11, 2024, Kimberly Kaye Sexton, age 55, entered the pearly gates and is now reunited with her Mother, Father, and loved ones passed.

Born April 4, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Kaye B Murray and David R Anderson. Kimberly grew up between Texas, Tennessee, and Arizona. She graduated class of 1987 from Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. She later decided to make Mesa, Arizona her permanent home. She was a member of Living Word Bible Church for the last 11 years.

Kimberly was a strong independent, single mother, who did her best despite all the challenges that life threw at her. Kimberly went on to become a certified pharmacy technician, with aspirations to become a pharmacist, before having to go on disability due to her health. Kimberly struggled with multiple medical conditions and defied medical odds her entire life.

Kimberly was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was such a light and was always ready to sing or play Rock Band. She was always that "one" you could turn to when you needed it most, or just to say hello; because you knew she would put a smile on your face. She enjoyed cooking, Facebook groups and lives, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cats who she loved and cherished her time with.

Kimberly will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents Kaye B Murray and David R Anderson. She is survived by son Devlin Sexton and daughter Lori Carroll and husband Tyler; grandchildren: Brayleigh, Walker, Reagan, Maisie, and Nora Carroll. Sister Amy Chisenski and husband Walter, nieces and nephews Ashley Chisenski, Andrew Chisenski and wife Jessica and children Josephine and Madelyn Chisenski, Ally Osife and husband Jacob, and Avery Chisenski. Sister Zenith Anderson and fiancee Daniel Nelson; nephew and niece Wilder and Willow Nelson.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 29:11 Church, Building 2- 1137 E. Warner Rd., Tempe, AZ, 85284

I have sooo many memories! Birthday parties! Easter egg hunts! She used to drive Devlin and I to swim lessons when we were little. Thing I remember most is how fun she was.

Kimmie was a positive influence. A single mom with health issues, but you would never see her stress. She always had a smile and ready to go out and have some fun. She is very special and had heart of gold. Rest in heaven my friend.
Love, Terri C.

i was friends with Kim for over 35 years so there are so many memories to call a favorite memory , but i had many years of memories as a caregiver and best friend with her but the most memorable memories i have with Kim were just hanging out with her at her apartment making dinners together and just laying down talking trying to fall asleep and telling each other random silly stories that happened in our lives( that were only funny after the fact).
