Ya Ya:

You were the strongest person I've met. The struggles you've met in life, you not only passed but overcame. You created an enterprise out of nothing, twice. Looking out for you was never a burden, I called it love. You didn't just become the man in the suit, you surpassed him, and earned the respect of not just a young boy...but a generation. My only wish for you now, is that the pain you've endured will fade..and that long rest that you've earned will be peaceful. May your friends that passed before you welcome you with open arms.

It's with greatest sadness to say final goodbye to you, my highly respected uncle.
In my childhood in Hong Kong long long time ago, I still remember vividly how much I so looked forward to our regular family visit to you and your family at Happy Valley Road. Thank you for those fond and wonderful memories.
My parents are devastated and saddened for your passing. It is you, my uncle, my dad often speaks highly of and admires your great business sense.
Our thoughts are with the family and particularly "ba lune" and "gu ma".

Ya Ya,

I've had the pleasure of knowing you for 29 years. I met you when I was 7 years old and you introduced me to a culture that I have adopted as my own. You were a true gentleman and pillar of society.
I will miss you and think of you often.

My Ya Ya, My Grandfather

Although I haven't been able to communicate with you for twenty one years I know you are proud of me and my accomplishments. I am sad that I never took the time to learn cantonese to communicate with you, Mama and Goupa, to tell you my stories and accomplishments straight from the heart. I know you will always be watching over me through everything that I do. You will always be my guardian angel.
I love you YA Ya, and will always think of you.
You will always be in my heart.

I am very blessed and privileged to be King Shen Tang's daughter inlaw for the past 27 years and his friend for the past 30 years. I bet he was surprised to know that his youngest son was going to marry a white girl from the Valley, but he never treated me any different.
Even though I have travelled and attended many events with him over the years, I didn't really appreciate the strength and character he possessed over the past 6 and one half months. Some days all he could do was hold my hand and look at my face, but those looks meant more to me than any words. He never complained one day or treated the staff with anything but respect. He was a gentleman to the very end.

I love you dad and will miss you with all of my heart.
