My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I have many found memories of Kirk growing up, most of which were centered around keeping us out of trouble and negotiating peace offerings amongst the siblings battles. When I would come to the house Kirk would always greet me like I was the honored guest, when I was just the kid down the street. His constant smile and dry sense of humor was always refreshing.

Hello I am sorry for your loss! I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Kirk but my
5 year old niece was talking about him yesterday and telling me all about how she learned from him in Bright Futures and how much she missed him. She was quick to add though that she knows he is with Jesus in heaven.

I was completely shocked and saddened to learn of Mr. G's passing. I had the privilege of meeting Mr. G though the Rotary Reading program at Garfield School, and from the moment I met him, his passion for teaching and enthusiasm with the students was infectious. After meeting him, I told so many people about the wonderful things that were happening at Garfield School, how their librarian Mr. G was unlike any I'd ever seen before. How Mr. G would great each child with such enthusiasm, making each one feel very special. How he set up incentive programs and rewarded the children with mini candy bars. He was absolultely amazing, and my heart is just breaking for the loss of Mr. G to his family, the community, and his students. I'm so sorry.

I was stunned and saddened to learn of the death of the Hult Center go-to guy who was everybody's favorite with his enthusiasm, knowledge and genuine concern for everyone. Not being a native Peorian, I part. appreciated the background he enjoyed. I know Patti Bash very well and had given a small memorial for my late mom when Kirk was present several years ago. He was so kind and had his step-son and friend assist at some Hult lunches. I didn't know of his passing until today and send my deepest sympathy to all of you.
He will be sorely missed.

I met Mr.G. about a year ago. I then taught at Trewyn and he brought in a lesson from the Hult Center. I had all the boys in my class for this presentation. He seemed to know most of them from his Garfield days. I was so impressed with his control and love of the children. He told me later he knew a lot of Hobin's and that he was Judy's son.
I'm so sorry for all the students who won't get to know this very special teacher. My condolences to his whole family.

To the Gwillim family. Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of Kirk or as my preschool daughter says "Mr. Kirk". I met Kirk last fall when my daughter's preschool class attended the Hult Institute for a field trip. He was wonderful with the kids and had a huge impact on our daughter. She has talked about her lungs, heart and brain ever since. Kirk would come to the school periodically and help educate the kids on the body parts. She was extremely excited when he brought a brain for them to discuss and touch. We always knew when he was there because my daughter would come home and talk about what she learned from him for days. He had such an impact on her and we will be forever grateful. Last night she was so sad when she learned Mr. Kirk passed. This is her first experience with death and we were all struggling with helping her with her feelings. Her older brother by just a year and a half asked her to put her hand on her heart. She did and paused. He then asked her if she felt in beating. She said yes. He then explained to her Mr. Kirk would always be in her heart. An immediate comfort came over her face. She still continues to talk about him and how great of a person he was. So in life and death Mr. Kirk was an educator. We are truly sorry for your loss and I hope you too might find comfort in this.

May God wrap you all in his arms. I pray for comfort, strength, and healing for you all!God's blessings upon Kirk as he comes home to our Lord!
