Mr. Thompson- was one of the best. He believed in me and like others, made me a better person. My condolences to the family, and much love to a beautiful human. -ViK

Mr. Thompson you were the only English teacher I ever remembered helping me. You used to call me a pumpkin because I'd wear an orange sweater and was pregnant. But you never gave up on me.. May God be with your family...

He was my 11th and 12th grade English teacher. This man taught me to appreciate reading. He would have students debate over quotes. He would send post cards to students during the summer and write words of inspiration.
He is one of the many reasons why I came back to teach in CFBISD. God bless him.

I first met Kirk in the 60s and yes he was a Hippy, but as I got to know him in hunting trips to East Texas I became convinced that he was no ordinary self subscribed intellect, but bye God he was the real deal.
I will miss Kirk and our conversations. Kirk provided guidance and sense to my thoughts, I really needed them.

One of the most memorable teachers I've had. Still using ideas he's imprinted on me. You will be missed.

I began my education with Mrs.Thompson (aka "Aunt June") as my principal and was proud to teach at the same school as Kirk Thompson. I send my love and prayers to the Thompson family and especially to Sharon. Kirk will be missed.

Mr Thompson was my favorite teacher at RLTurner High School and will always remember him spending extra time helping me when he could have been doing so many other things. He was truly one of a kind. My brother and I were lucky to have a photo with him at my graduation. Rest in peace Mr T!
