Kirk Woodruff Obituary
Born February 6, 1949, in Monroe, he was the son of the late Tom and Jean Woodruff. Kirk graduated from Ida High School in 1967, and Central Michigan University in 1991. He married the love of his life, Marlene England, on February 12, 1972.
In addition to his love for Marlene, Kirk found great joy from his family, especially from his grandkids. He loved to spend time in his barn and was always looking for an auction or flea market to add to his endless treasure collection. After retiring from Chrysler in 2009, he went to work part-time for MPS, where he spent 10 years as an engineering consultant. His grandkids were truly a source of what he loved most; from riding tractors and four-wheelers to watching cheer competitions and dance recitals. From his family to his friends (there are too many to count) the love he had for all will be deeply missed.
To cherish his memory, Kirk leaves his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Marlene of Newport; three cherished daughters, Wendy Santure (Greg Marquardt) of Macomb, Melissa Woodruff (Ron Ferris) of Newport, and Teresa (Nick) Gratowski of Newport; five grandchildren, Harley Santure, Brianna Woodruff, Stella Woodruff, Daisy Gratowski, and Colton Gratowski.
Visitation will be held at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 11 a.m. until services celebrating his life begin at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Southerland will officiate. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow. Bacarella Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kirk's family would also like express sincere gratitude to the medical team at Beaumont Hospital Trenton; they were absolutely amazing. A special thank you to Katelyn Miller, his niece, for her guidance through the critical care process and for her love.
Memorial contributions in Kirk's memory are suggested to Conquer Chiari (320 Osprey Drive, Wexford PA 15090 or www.conquerchiarai.org) in honor of Daisy Gratowski, or Monroe VFW Post 1138, 100 Jones Ave, Monroe MI 48161.

Kirk was a very good friend. A jack of all trades and unlike so many others he was a master of all. He was a loving husband and a great father. He was a teacher and a friend to his grandkids. He shines through everyone that he met. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten so he lives on and each of the hearts that he touched.

Kirk was such a wonderful man, and he holds a dear and special place in so many hearts.
