Knud Gotterup

Always keeping him close in my heart.

Dear Inger, Knud, Jr and Morten,

It is with great sadness that I learned that Knud is no longer with us. I worked with Knud at the Denmark Cheese Association in
San Francisco from 1967 until he moved to New Jersey to explore new business avenues. Knud was such a creative, dynamic, fun and inspiring boss. Many interesting events took place; promotions for the trade, trade shows, activities such as Danish weeks arranged by the Danish Agricultural Marketing Board, mainly in the western states. Of course we always had the cute Danish Karoline girls to help.
We worked with the Danish Consulates, the California Wine Institute, made guest appearances on TV and radio and worked closely with the food editors in the United States. Many celebrities were involved; Victor Borge, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, Mary Tyler Moore, Harvey Korman and many more.
Knud left his mark on this world, "Don't say cheese say Danish cheese please".
My thoughts are with you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Dear Inger,
Very sorry to hear of Knuds passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. What a gentleman, accomplished professional and true friend he was. Having spent time, albeit small in amount with both of you, is always remembered with a smile and warmth.

We are so sorry to hear this news.

My deepest condolences to the familie. Knud was my boss in California from 69 to 72 as I was working as a Karolinepige along with 4 more girls Knud was a great boss and always with a smile and humor . He will always be remembered with great fondness
