Krista Jolene Wolfe

It's been 17 years since the Lord Jesus called you home to heaven. We miss you sweet girl. I wonder what you would be today? I wonder if we would go see a movie together or go to dinner or a game. Love you always and forever.

We miss you Krista. This is our 5th Christmas without you and I sit here on Christmas Eve morning, wondering what you would be like at age 15. So many unanswered questions, wonderful memories, and sadness since we will not create any new ones with you. Merry Christmas to you in heaven my sweet, forever 11 child. You are missed and loved forever. Oh yeah, remember when I would say.... Hey Krista, I have been meaning to tell you something..... (you would say "what") I want to tell you thanks.... (I know you would then say "for what"). For making me the luckiest daddy in the world. (I know, you would then chuckle a little). Miss you and love you Kiddo. Dad.

Although our family were newcomers to Piney Grove Elementary, Krista's presence touched our entire family. Her courage and strength provided an inspiration for students/teachers/parents. She touched many lives in life and in her passing. She will be missed however not forgotten. Her passing has given many people a wake up call to appreciate what they have been given and celebrate life.

My heart broke when I heard the news of Krist'a passing this morning. I can only imagine what you are feeling. God answered our prayers for Krista's healing, just not the way we would have wanted it, to have her with us and enjoying life and camp for many more years. But she has no more cancer now and no more pain. My prayers now are that God will give you both strength and grace to get through the next few days and that His comfort will sustain you when I know the emptiness will be overwhelming. I am priviledged to have shared a small part of Krista's life at VJGC. She will always remain one of my very special campers in my heart.
