So sorry for your loss and yet able to tell the heartbreak of losing someone to suicide, wish more people would tell it like it is as we have a stigma for mental health that should not be, maybe when that happens we could help save someone else from taking this forever step. Prayers for your families and God Bless

To the Kingma Family,
I just heard this news and am heartbroken for all of you. Our families grew up together at Beverly Church and I fondly remember NYE parties with you all as our parents and their friends gathered together to celebrate. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. May you all (including her husband and precious children) find peace and comfort.

DeWitt family and Nathan, you have our sincere sympathies. We are so sorry for your loss and lift up prayers during this time for you. May you continue to have an anchor in Christ so He can give you strength during these times. We wanted to honor and celebrate her beautiful spirit through this memorial fund with Heights of Hope. May this continue to bless others, as she has blessed so many. Love, the Holland Christian Cross Country Team

In the past in Calvary of Kristin. I always could remember her as a mother smiling, seeing her happy all the time in church with her family as a child made my day. Now, I remember her face, always smiling. I miss her, as she was one of the best teacher I had. I had her in my life for along time. I loved her like family. I will forever keep her in my heart. I will forever love her family, as I know mine will. I'm sorry for the loss of Kristin, I had her as a teacher here in HC. I never had a chance to say goodbye and never had so much love shown to me by her. I want to hug her one last time, before she died from this. I never wanted her to go, and I don't want anyone else like her to die. She was one of a kind to a person like me. I loved her like family. I can't forget the help she gave me in school. She was an amazing person and an amazing mother.
I miss you, Ms Dewitt. I love you.

It has been a privilege to know Kristen and her family. She was such a bright light to so many. The last fun conversation I had with her was after she and Dave and her mom made a "cheese run" to Wisconsin and visited with my brother.

Dear DeWitt and Kingma families,
Kristen was so beautiful, inside and out! She was sweet, kind, devoted to her family and loving to all who knew her. I enjoyed sending and receiving prayer texts from her over this past very difficult year. She loved you all so very much! You did everything right; you relentlessly sought treatment, encouraged her and showered her with your love. She goes on before us, but we will see her again! This is not our home! Death has been swallowed up in victory 1Cor 15:54 We love you Kristen!

You are in our prayers Kelly, Katelyn, Ryan, Nathan and all other family members and friends of Kristen's. There are no words. So sorry for your loss. To echo another, the courage to publicly share the battle with mental illness is admirable. May God give you strength and peace as you navigate this time and beyond.
