Years ago, when the oldest children went to Kennedy Elementary, Kris gave me an oval bowl that had strawberries printed all around the outside of the dish. Every spring, I serve the first strawberries of the season in that bowl and think of Kris, Steve and the kids. It is such a happy memory. Thank you, God, for the many memories of Kris, and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, the family, at this time. Glenda Melton, retired principal.

During my years working at Kennedy Elementary Kris Heneveld would come with the younger children to school events. It was such a delight to see Kris with her children, like stairsteps in a row. They were immaculate, dressed nicely, the girls hair braided, mannerly & all very bright. She was a wonderful mom & did very well raising her children. With sadness I read about her passing & just wanted to give my condolences to her family. Sincerely, BJCastle
