Kristopher N. Olsen, 43, Sanborn, ND passed away on October 18, 2018, after a 3 year battle with kidney disease. A celebration of his life will be held in the Lerud-Mathias Funeral Home Chapel, Valley City, ND on October 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service.
Kris was born on September 14, 1975 in Devils Lake, ND. He grew up in Binford, ND and attended Midkota School. Kris married Amy Farnquist on June 17, 2006 and made their home in rural Sanborn where they raised their three children.
He worked at ADM in Rogers for the past 7 years with a wonderful group of co-workers. He really enjoyed getting to know all the area farmers over the years. He had a love for motocross, pinball and hockey, especially the Minnesota Wild. One of his favorite past-times was just spending time at home with his boys or going to the movies with his daughter.
Kris is survived by his wife Amy; three children, daughter Kassidy (Brandon Naeseth) of Fargo, ND; two sons, Damien and Tyler at home; mother, Kim Hall of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; father, Terry Hall of Thief River Falls, MN; two brothers, Nick Olsen of Spokane, WA and Kyle (Meghan) Olsen of Binford, ND; one sister, Kacie Hall (Adam Forness) of Fargo, ND; two nieces, Maci Olsen and Sadie Hall; one nephew, Maximus Olsen; several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins; father and mother-in-law, Duane and Heidi Farnquist and a brother-in-law, Chad Farnquist.
Kris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kearn D. & Lollie Twete and Melvin & Lorraine Olsen.
An online guestbook is available at lerudschuldt.com. The Lerud-Mathias Funeral Home is assisting Kris' family with arrangements.

May you and your family find comfort in God's love. John 3:16 states this love and hope for the future. As you draw ever closer to God, may you find comfort in his words.
