Kurt Allen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 16, 2014.
ALLEN Kurt Christopher Allen May 23, 1978 - February 9, 2014 May you never forget what is worth remembering, or remember what is best forgotten. Ever the nonconformist, Kurt chose to use his initials KC. A man with a mischievous smile, dimples and unforgettable laugh, of quick wit and dry sarcasm whose playful sense of humor protected his true heart and fierce loyalty for those he loved. KC was passionate about cars, culture, history, Eastern philosophy, martial arts, video games, a love for music and movies, especially independent films and documentaries faithfully letting us know what we absolutely could not miss. Never one to follow the crowd, KC always had distinct tastes for the unique, never afraid to give his true opinion. Courageous and spontaneous, he still retained the presence of mind to slow down to appreciate the smaller thoughtful details of life. On Sundays, he still enjoyed spending the day with his mother, Dorothy, by taking her shopping and going to dinner. KC will always be remembered fondly by his beloved mother Dorothy, brothers Frank and Joe, nieces and nephews; Taylor, Matt, Katie, Maggie, Nick and Frankie, lifetime love Darcy, godchildren Layne and Marin, and his lifelong friends who loved him dearly. Don t cry because it s over. Smile because it happened. ~ Dr Seuss Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com

KC, I just found out about your passing...here it is a year later. God I can't believe it. I am so sorry we lost touch. I have often wondered how you are & what you're doing. You are one of the very few people I wanted to get back in touch with from high school, I just never got the chance. I remember one little date we had. We were in our 20s & You were just getting into eastern philosophy and you were trying to teach me how to meditate : )
You're such a sweet spirit and a kind man. I am truly sad that you are gone. You were one of the few good guys left.
I will see you soon in the great beyond, my friend.
Much love,
Missie

My heart has been heavy this past week knowing KC is gone. He was a great guy and I will miss him dearly. I keep thinking about all the times he made me laugh with his silly sence if humor. I'm so sorry for your loss Dottie. Love to you.

KC, you will be missed. Angie is beside herself at the news of your passing. I'm sorry about the noise. I will miss our happy times together. Your presence in my life will always be a treasure for me. I know you are now home. I will see you soon, just not yet. Dottie, I pray you find peace knowing that KC is no longer hurting, and treasure those last few evenings you had together. I love you... Tania

I am sorry to hear about your loss. During this time of great sadness, I hope that the family find comfort from James 4:8. It says, "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you." Along with family and friends, may you'll also look to God for comfort.
