On February 24, 2013, Kurt Harry Hellmann, age 89, of Ross Twp., formerly of Greentree. Beloved husband of 62 years of the late Mildred Hawkins Hellmann; loving father of Janis (Glenn) Sweet of WV and Mark (Jeannie) Hellmann of MN; adoring grandfather of Dr. Elizabeth Sweet and her fiance` Matthew Barnes, Andrew (Amanda) Sweet, Katie, Emma, Laura, Kurt and Kyle Hellmann; brother of Betty Berseth, Grace Loadman and the late Robert Hellmann. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, where services will be held, Friday 1 p.m. Contributions may be made to Feed My Starving Children, 401 93rd Avenue NW Coon Rapids, MN 55433 www.fmsc.org.

As I was saddened by the death of Millie, I am now sorry to learn of the death of Kurt. What a special couple they were! I have many memories of times spent with them worshipping, travelling, laughing, & simply sharing life during my 15 years living in Pittsburgh's North Side (1976-1990). They'll both always be in my heart, & what a comfort it is to know they are both now in the arms of God.

To the Hellman Family
I live at Stonebrook in one of the carriage homes. Millie and I became great friends when we took a craft class at the Commons. After she passed away, I got to know Kurt. What a great guy. You are all so fortunate to have had him in your life, and I am so fortunate to have known both of them. They will never be forgotten here.

Dear Hellman Family,
We are very sorry to learn about the passing of your loved one, Kurt. He was a wonderful person and an inspiration to many via his warm personality, his strength of character, his never ending efforts to create and maintain fellowship with his friends and neighbors and especially his unwaivering faith and spirituality. Kurt and his beloved Millie are together now in the Lord's presence,rewarded for living the "good life" and for a "job well done". God bless Kurt, his family and friends.
