Kurt Neil Hennings joined the Lord Friday, October 28, 2022, in peace and comfort. He was born September 10, 1948, in Brooklyn NY, the son of Frederick and Florence Hennings. After graduating high school, Kurt joined the Navy and met his beautiful wife, Kathy. He honorably served the U.S. Navy, then decided to move to New Jersey where Kurt worked at a steel mill and served as volunteer fire man. Then having three children, they decided to leave New Jersey and raise them in Tennessee.
Kurt always strived to enrich his family and friends with all the knowledge and experiences that he could possibly give them. Kurt always worked hard, sometimes holding three jobs at once. He worked as a maintenance man for Russell Stovers Candies for 16 years and he was also "Cookeville’s largest real estate agent". Kurt has played as a TV character, he’s written songs, created a law written into Congress, and even has a sandwich named after him, the "TRUCK." It’s the phonetic for Kurt backwards. Kurt loved all people and life. Some of his favorite things were to travel, fish, and tell stories of all his life’s adventures. He was a man larger than life with the size and heart to match.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by;
Wife, Kathleen Hennings, who passed away in 2018. Two Brothers, Fredrick and Chris Hennings and 1 sister, Cindy Martin.
His surviving family includes...
2 sons, Michael and Joseph Hennings
1 daughter and son in-law, Paula and Miles Jolley.
1 grandchild, Mila Jolley
Sister-In-Law: Kay Hennings
niece, Margaret Neumann, Bridgette Hennings, Yvonne Heich, and nephew, Scott Neumann
a host of friends that will miss him dearly
