Unfortunately, I just learned tonight that Kurt passed away last fall. I'm so sorry for the family, and I want you to know that Kurt made a big impact in my life. I was just a dumb, 20 year old kid working at Pro-Robics on QA when I first met Kurt. I didn't have much $ in the bank, trying to get my degree at SPU. Kurt and Sam invited me to live in their home for a year, basically rent-free. I remember some great times, filled with playoff hockey, "King of the Court", and a lot of great advice about life! I told Kurt almost everyday how thankful I was for his generosity. He told me once that someday I will pay it forward for someone else. Kurt, I think about that often, and I want you to know that I try to help others everyday. We'll see you in heaven Kurt.

Kurt was always someone to look up to in school and never let anyone pick on me. I'm shocked at his passing but we'll all have an Angel looking out for us. My condolences to his family and friends.

This news came as such a shock to me and my husband. It has been many years, but I do remember Kurt as someone who never met a stranger and was always so friendly and warm hearted. We are so sorry your family has suffered this terrible loss.

Kurt Larson was my roommate at the time of his death although he was away in Seattle when he fell and was taken away so soon. I was shocked when I heard the news. Someone with the life force that he had doesn't just go away like that, I thought. It is slowly sinking in that he is gone. His smile always made me feel like everything was going to be alright. I miss him.

To Kurt's family. I taught at Rogers during Kurt's years there and had him in one of his English classes. His locker was just outside my door, so I talked to him quite a bit every day that year. I liked to greet my students at the door every day. Kurt was the first student I told that I was expecting a baby "ram" in May of that year. He was so happy for me. When I went to the Kingdome to watch him and the team play, my Kingdome Ram shirt was the shape of a dome on me! When I learned that he passed, my heart sank. He brought such joy into my life as a teacher and to all the students who knew him. I am sorry I could not attend the memorial. I extend my deepest sympathy to your family and hope your memories stay in your heart and give you comfort. Sincerely, Donna

I have known Kurtrt since he was 18 years old through my wife Susan and.other Puyallup friends on tSouth Hill. Kurt was an All-American kid who filled the room with his energy and laughter. I'm very sorry for your loss. Far too young and far too soon....what Kurt did on the "other side" by donating his organs, skin, and tissues to so many people of all ages is truly amazing and humbling.

It was just another example of Kurt's can do attitude. I know he will be debating with God and all the other people in heaven who will listen why the next President of the United States should be a liberal Democrat!

Unfortunately, we cat see that conversation on Favebook!

With much respect,

Jim
