My thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this difficult time.

I'll always remember Kurtis and how he would jokingly serenade me and Leanne during high school math.

Mr. and Mrs. Sime, Heather, Farrah, Ryan, and the little one,
It's hard to find the right words to express our deepest sympathies for you all at this time, but fill your hearts with wonderful memories of Kurtis and continue to be strong for each other. I will always cherish his friendship and him doing the honor of taking me to my prom. Love from your old friends and neighbors. PS. Heather, your poem was beautiful.

Dear Ben, Kathy & Family,
We were so deeply sorry to hear about Kurtis. Memories of the boys playing hockey together have come flooding back. Kurtis at centre, Ian on wing - they made a great pair. Kurtis was an awesome athlete and he had the brightest smile in the world. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

My condolences to the whole Sime family. To this day, I have yet to meet anyone who could tell a story like Kurtis. Even though we only met on a trip in the Dominican, I still can't help to retell his stories to my friends, who always laugh and smile, which I'm sure is what Kurtis would have appreciated. I've never seen anyone smile for seven days straight. Hope you all get through this terrible time. My thoughts are with you.

Even though I met you all briefly years ago, my thoughts & prayers are with you during this terrible time. I will always remember Kurtis's laughter & smile, his love for hockey, and what a fierce competitor he could be when we'd play a game of cards. Cherish his memories always.

Dear Ben, Kathy, Heather and Farrah;

I am deeply sorry for the sudden loss of your son and brother.

I will best remember Kurtis as Squirt, Heather's supportive older brother who took her to the movies for her birthday, helped lay patio stones at her new house and was by her side for important events at the mess in Moose Jaw. I'll miss Kurtis' knack for balancing a chair on two legs at the dinner table and his competitive spirit for board games and charades.

My thoughts will be with you all on Saturday at his memorial service.

Dear Ben, Kathy and Girls,
Tim and I are so very sorry to hear about Kurtis. One of many memories we have of Kurtis was he always had a comb in his right back pocket to comb his hair. After every hockey practice and game he had to make sure he looked good. Kurtis was a great kid and he will be missed deeply. Our prayers are with your family.

Dear Ben,Kathy,Farah,Ryan,Kaden and Heather
I only recently met all of you, through my good friend Heather. And you have all been very welcoming and have made me feel like I was part of your family, even in the short time I have known you. Kurtis, I know will be greatly missed. He definitely was a genuine & pleasant person, and even laughed at my silly humour. My heart is with you, as are my prayers in your time of loss.

Kurtis was a really great guy who I will always remember as having a smile on his face and a Dallas Stars hat on his head. (I don't think I ever saw him at a 4-H meeting without it!) He called me in the city, while I was away at NAIT, helping to ease my homesickness, since the city seemed like such a huge and unfamiliar place. I hope that someday, time will help to ease your pain and that you can find comfort in knowing that you raised a really great man, with a really kind heart, who will always be loved and never forgotten. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Ben,Kathy,Farah,Ryan,Kaden and Heather
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you today, tomorrow and forever. I will always have a very special place in my heart for Kurtis. Each and everyone of you will have a hole in your heart. It will never go away, the difference is you will learn how to live with that hole forever. Please don't count the years, only count the memories. I am always only a phone call away to help share those memories.
