Sheryl, so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. Not sure if you remember me we worked at GenCorp together years ago. You are in my prayers. Diane Brown Regula.

I am so sorry for your huge loss. I enjoyed watching Kyle race go-karts back in the day when I was just a kid. I actually named my son Kyl, (without the 'e') because I thought Kyle Adkins was such a great go-kart driver and I wanted my son to be just like him. My heart goes out to the whole family...

I first met Kyle back in the late 80's we were racing at his track and my frame cracked, it took all day to find him but after every thing was done for the day he welded my kart for me I was good to go the next day. We became great friends after that.

We love Kyle with all our heart. There are too many to type out to describe this man. He was a mentor to both my boys. They are the Next Generation to carry on the Adkins name at the Adkins Raceway.

I remember growing up at Barnesville and as a kid watching the battles against Kyle Adkins and Lynn Haddock was something special. It didn't matter what you were doing when they hit the track you hit the fence. They always put on a show and both were fierce competitors. It seemed like Kyle always gave 110% and it showed. God bless Kyle and the whole Adkins family.

There are certain people you meet in karting that become synonymous with the sport. Kyle Adkins is one of those people. To me karting without Kyle just doesn't compute. His legend will be part of our sport indefinitely. Kyle had the heart the size of Texas and an ego that didn't exist. He was humble, kind and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His knowledge of engine building was genius. His driving ability ranks him the best I have ever seen. I am proud to say Kyle was a good friend. He always met me with a smile and a handshake. One of his proudest moments was the recent rebirth of Adkins Raceway. He put his heart and soul into getting the track ready for opening day. Whether it was digging ditches, pouring concrete, or installing new fencing Kyle would never stop until the job was done. RIP my friend. Gone but never forgotten. #7

I remember reading about Kyle when I was racing the rookie class. As I got older and raced for Wayne W. at Coyote and Kyle moved back to Ohio we got to race against each other. We butted heads on the track but where always friends. He is one of the reasons that I am a good driver. I have always respected Kyle a lot. God speed friend.
