I met Kyle when I was probably 12 or 13 more than a decade ago on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He had gotten a kill in the game that was really impressive and I added him after this. His gamertag was Blazed Potatoe (spelled exactly if I recall). Man, I really liked Kyle. I haven´t been in touch with him for many years. I am very saddened to hear he has passed. He was a super cool dude. I still remember video calling with him on Skype and looking up to him as he was a bit older than me and he always had this relaxed, cool demeanor about him. He was also never unkind. He is missed and that´s for certain.

We have memories of Kyle and Grant having great fun as boys and young teens riding bikes and playing in the neighborhood together. We are deeply saddened at the news of Kyle's death. We are praying for the Lord to comfort all of you at this terribly difficult time.
Sincerely,
Kurt and Brenda Maurer
