Lafray "Stack" Stackhouse a resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed away in Sherman, Texas on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the age of 74 years 2 months and 2 days. He was born in Atoka, Oklahoma to Lacey and Ileene (Holcomb) Stackhouse on July 13, 1940. Stack married Bobbie Jean McBurnette in Durant, Oklahoma on November 3, 1983.
Stack served his country and community in the United States Army National Guard as a Supply Sgt., he retired after 29 years. He was the food and beverage manager for the Texoma Lodge, Durant Country Club and the Elks Lodge. Stack was a member of the Victory Life Church in Durant, Oklahoma.
Mr. Stackhouse is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Stackhouse of the home; daughter, Aleshia Cole of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Derrick Hughes of Atoka, Oklahoma; sister, Dana Baumert of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; cousin, Marsha Cooper of Tuska, Oklahoma; several grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Stackhouse was preceded in death by his parents, Lacey and Ileene Stackhouse.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Victory Life Academy Scholarship Fund, 3412 W. University, Durant, OK 74701.
A Memorial Service in honor of his memory will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Victory Life Church in Durant, Oklahoma, with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
