Bill Cowher & Family
Heartfelt condolensces to all of you. My father (Jim Mahoney) and Laird where friends from school and they regularly got together for lunch and to swap stories during your tenure in Pittsburgh. My Dad always looked forward to those get togethers. We lost our father in 2008 and am sure they are now picking up where they left off.

God Bless.

Sorry for the loss of your father. He was a great coach and a bigger influence on all of us who played for him or against him in the Beechview Little League.

Dorothy,
My sincerest condolences go out to you and your family. We spent time with you (my husband and I) one day and had lunch with you. Laird was my dad's cousin. My husband has since passed on and I've remarried since the time we were together.
So I understand what you are going through. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Aunt Dorothy,
I'm very sorry to hear of Uncle Laird's death. My dad was very sad to lose his last and favorite uncle. You're in our prayers. I have a really neat old photo that my dad said is Laird in his Army Air Corps uniform. I don't have your current address (my Christmas letter came back this year), but if you want me to e-mail or mail a copy of the photo, I can. Just let me know where to send it. My address is still the same (or you can get in touch with me through Marlene). Take care.
Love,
Jenn (Randall) Ruebush

Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time - I hope you find comfort in all of the amazing memories you have! I just can't seem to get the picture of him in his umpire gear...he lived at the ball park right along with my Dad!!! Sending love your way.

Mrs. Cowher, Dale, Bill, Doug & Family. I am so sorry for your loss of your Husband & Dad. May God Bless his soul & comfort you in your time of grief. It's been three years since my Dad passed away and I know exactly what you are feeling & going through. I really admired your Dad as one of my little league coaches & his sharing his knowledge & teaching me the game of baseball. I wish I could be there for you but I'm presently living in Southern Maryland and can't get away. Take Care all of you and just know that you have a lot of support and Heartfelt Sympathy. With Love, Mickey Culligan

My condolences to the Cowher family. I feel extremely grateful as a young man to been influenced by his teachings in sports and in Christ at Hawthorne Church. I can still hear the coins he jingled in his pocket while he taught our Sunday school class. A truly good man and father may God bless his soul.
