Lamar Alexander Harris

Lamar Alexander Harris, 36, passed away on October 28, 2021, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on January 1, 1985, in Gary, Indiana, Lamar brought light and laughter into the lives of those who knew him.

Lamar was a dedicated professional who worked at Empower, where he applied his talents as a Machine Operator, Industrial Machinery Mechanic, and Machinery Maintenance Worker. His strong work ethic and technical skills were evident in every task he undertook. Beyond his career in machinery, Lamar was also an entrepreneur with a creative spirit. He founded Finer Designs and Creations, channeling his artistic vision into meaningful projects that reflected his passion for beauty and innovation.

A man of deep faith, Lamar believed wholeheartedly in God and lived by the principles of Christianity. He strived to obey God's commandments and encouraged others to embrace their faith. His spiritual convictions were central to his life and guided him through both triumphs and challenges.

Lamar loved to travel and explore the world's natural wonders that God created and to view God's beautiful sceneries-as he called them. Whether near or far, he found joy in discovering new places and sharing those experiences with others. His creativity extended beyond his business ventures; it was woven into how he lived each day-with imagination, humor, and heart.

Those who met Lamar quickly discovered his remarkable ability to uplift others. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel good about themselves. With a big heart and an even bigger smile, he left lasting impressions wherever he went. He faced life's difficulties with courage and resilience, always striving to live freely and fully.

Lamar is survived by his father Leon L. Harris Sr., and stepmother Adrian Harris; his brother Leon Harris Jr. (Shameka); his sister Lamesha Harris; four nieces-Janiella Clark, Shamiah Harris, Shanorah Harris, and Shalialia Harris; one nephew-Neimiah Garza; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished him deeply.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Marnita Harris; his aunts Marcia Turner and Mona Richards; his uncle Fredrick Richards; and cousin Al.

Lamar's presence will be profoundly missed by all who loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, creativity, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and may he rest peacefully in God's eternal embrace.
