I will always remember what Dr. Miller would tell his (me) students: Never put your future in the hands of someone who cares less for it than you do.
Wise words that I think of often.

We enjoyed many years being next door neighbors of Juanita and Lamar. He was also a superb colleague in Environmental Engineering Sciences and contributed greatly to the success of the Department during his time on the faculty.
