Lamont Thomas Obituary
On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, God called an angel and beautiful soul, Mr. Lamont M. Thomas, home to eternal rest. He was born February 6, 1977.
Lamont was recently employed with Golden Corral where he loved to cook, especially his “special steaks”. He also loved to cut hair.
Lamont was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernice Thomas, Moses Clarence Thomas, Kevin Batts, and Brenda “Deiboo” Woodson.
Lamont leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Debra Casey (James); father, Kenneth Shaw; brothers, Kenneth Thomas and Kelly Thomas; sisters, LeKeisha Johnson, Shannon Wran, and Chica Casey; stepmother, Cheryl Johnson; nieces, Kenae Thomas and Renita Holtz; aunt, Sandra Lane; devoted cousins, Monique Johnson, Tamika Stith, Quinton Stith, Tremayne Stith, and Kim Jones; devoted best friends, Lakeisha Jones and Toni Adams (Zayda); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 5, 2022 in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

My heart was deeply saddened when I heard of the passing of my beloved friend Lay Lay. He was the best classmate ever!!
God makes no mistakes and I would never question him but this one here is so heartbreaking. Lamont will truly be missed. To his loving parents and family; “Earth Has No Sorrow that Heaven cannot Heal.”
