Lance Larkin Tracy was born July 6th, 1970, in Canton Ohio to Bonnie Ann Tracy and tragically left this world on April 30, 2022. He was raised in Pembroke Pines Florida and attended Cooper City high school from there he began his career in the food and beverage industry. He worked for several major restaurant chains, but it was when he was asked to help open a new restaurant in a little town called Marble Falls that he met the love of his life. Lance was a HUGE sports fan and Fantasy Football was his passion. He could tell you about the stats on any player (including personal stats like where the player grew up, who raised them etc) and the play by play of every game since football began. He and his wife loved attending the NFL Hall of Fame awards because he would get to meet all the great players and wow them with his stats knowledge. Lance was larger than life He owned every room he ever walked into. His energy was so great. His voice so deep. His wit sharp as a knife. Lance had a mastery of the English language and could outplay anyone foolish enough to get into a battle of wits with him. He had high standards when it came to work ethics and Lord help the poor soul who did not meet his level. No tolerance for ignorance and incompetence. Lance is a legend. Incredibly popular, well loved by everyone, a gentle giant, compassionate and generous, impressive, intelligient, hysterically funny, crude rude and loud. He was one of a kind. Lance was preceeded in death by his loving grandparents, Larkin and Bonnie Tracy, the father he did not get a chance to meet in person, George House as well as his beloved dogs Maynard, Tippy and Vegas and his cat Ollie. He is survived by his grief-stricken wife Deanna Dawn, his beautiful mother Bonnie Ann, his “chip off the old block” son Jarrett, his siblings Sally House, Eric House, and Bill Grob. His “brothers” Brian Fahey and Steve Dulin, his pseudo sons Ryland, Sebastian, Steffon, Cody and Dubbie, his huge legion of friends, his cats Sinatra and Forrest and his dogs Buddy, Rocco, Lily, Ron, Dixie, and Diva. A celebration of life will be held at Lakeside Pavillion on Wednesday May 11 at 6:00 pm. Dress colorful. He loves color.

This is just shocking to me. Richard, Rohan, Troy, Gary and I (Sean Bygrave) grew up in Miami (near the Dolphin Stadium in a subdivision called Cherry Bay). Lance was a great friend and the best quarterback on our neighborhood football team. I last spoke to Lance in 2019. He was just a great person. Always made us laugh as he mimicked us Jamaicans. We will always love you Lance. To his Mom and family, I offer my condolences and love.

Even though I never met him, I felt like I knew him. Lance and Dawn took care of my son Sebastian when he needed help. He treated him as his son and Sebastian always spoke about them as being “larger than life”. I have so much respect and appreciation for Dawn and Lance. My heart hurts for Dawn, my son, and their family.

We are Marc Straus’s parents and want to share a story from the days of Pembroke Pines, Lance was a frequent guest at our home. We always knew to have a gallon of milk ready when Lance was coming over. He brought laughter and joy to our home. We will surely miss him ! Sending hugs and prayers to the family .
