I knew Lance from High School, and many years had passed since I had seen or spoken to him.

Despite the years passing that adult life brings to all of us, I have never forgotten Lance or his sunshine and happiness that showed through his wonderful smile!

He was a wonderful person, and my heart goes out to you and your family at this time.

He touched many, many people in his far too short time here. May you take comfort in the extraordinary person he was and who touched many....

I hadn't seen Lance since I moved out West 13 years ago. Despite this time, when I heard the news, the first thing that jumped into my head was a vision of Lance's beaming smile. He was a very kind, gentle person, and clearly made an impact on many people.

Lance Savage will be missed. He never failed to make people smile, and was a warm generous person. From Queenswood Public School, Emily Carr Middle School, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, Lance made everyone who came into contact with him smile. To me, Lance, you were a great friend, a great artist, person who was tough to play basketball against, but most importantly, a person who could put a smile on my face when I needed it.

How sad to hear of Lance's passing. I can still remember meeting all of you as I moved next door to become your new neighbour and an instant friendship began. The 'friendship tree' that was planted in front of our homes grew tall and strong and always had a great significance of a loving bond between friends. The children would always be welcomed into my kitchen, especially in the summertime, to enjoy their favourite colour of popsicle. How pleased I was to see that they all grew up to be wonderful young people, making a difference in their communities and their lives. But of course, I'm not surprised knowing the love and guidance they've received from two loving parents.

Even after I moved away, you were always there, open arms, welcoming back an old acquaintance for a visit.

May these and other special memories keep Lance alive in all of our hearts.... He will be missed.

I consider Lance to be a good friend even though we haven't bumped into each other or spoken in quite some time. Lance and I went to high school together. I can't remember the first time we met. We weren't on sports teams together and we didn't work together. Since high school we did bump into each other periodically on the bus, and I also bumped into him numberous times when he was the manager at McDonalds. We never called each other or hung out but Lance always greated me with a smile.
Lance has one of the greatest smiles I'll ever know as well as one of the biggest hearts. He has a magnetic aura about him though and you can see his warmth and lovingness immediately.
When ever we crossed paths he would be the first to say hello and always had time to chat with me. I can't think of a nicer person and I will always think of Lance in that warm, caring manner. I'm at a loss for words, but my thoughts are with your family and friends and I look forward to seeing that wonderful smile again someday.
Lance...You've touched a lot of lives and I know you'll have a great big warm smile and hello for me again someday. I'll see you again my friend!

My condolences to Lance's family. I only knew him for a short time but he did make a big impression on me. He gave me a ride to work during the bus strike and will always remember him.

Lance was one of those rare individuals. When you met him, you knew he was special. He knew what was important in life and lived his life that way.

We were two tall, lanky kids living around the corner from one another, and, we were best friends the moment we met.

We played, talked, dreamed and laughed together. I wish all children could experience the joyous and carefree moments we shared.

Our adult years took us down separate paths and it has been over a decade since we last spoke. Yet, while many names and many faces have faded over the years, you remain ... unforgetable.
