I used to listen to Landon's sermons when I had an opportunity. He was one of the men who inspired so many in the church. My condolences to his family on his passing.

Landon was our minister at the Corning church and had such a positive influence on all us teenagers. He later performed our wedding ceremony. I am saddened to hear of his passing.

Landon Saunders touched my life as a teenager when he would speak at youth rallies and meetings in the DFW area. Jesus came alive in him when he spoke! Thank you Father God for Landon Saunders!

i believe Landon Saunders has now graduated to glory and is where he lived to go too. He spoke with great compassion and love for God and man. At times he seemed to be speaking from the heart of God. i believe Landon Saunders was a great man of God.

Landon shaped my life and thinking more than any other man, other than my dad. I remember driving from Searcy over to Memphis to hear him when he was speaking in a meeting at Union Avenue church of Christ. His text was Luke 6, and it was challenging and wonderful.
I remember one time when I was young, going to Boston to visit with my dad, Landon, and Terry Smith, and Landon asked me to meet with him - just him, and he spent a good while with me asking questions about me and my plans for life. He made me feel so special; I was so honored.
Over my life, I have thought many times of his one-liners that surprised me and caused me to think more deeply. I remember him saying:
- Marry, unless you have to!
- There is a simple answer for every complex question, and it is always wrong.
- Before I judge another person, I have to remind myself, "I am guilty too".
What a kind, insightful, and loving life he lived. What a great example of one who was listening to God; one who walked with God.

I met Landon Saunders in 1975 at Crowleys Ridge College Church of Christ in Paragould, Arkansas. He had just finished preaching the Sunday sermon, and I had been profoundly touched by his message and wanted to meet him. I was a 19 year old college freshman who wanted so much to know and love Jesus more. Everyone had left and he was sitting in a chair where he had been talking to people. I pondered the few things that I had heard about him. I was told that he wanted to dedicate his entire life to Jesus so he had chosen not to marry. As a teenage girl I found that profound. So un- selfish, so dedicated. His love and joy in Christ just poured out of his words, his face, and his very kind eyes. He was the most Christ like human being I had ever met....how did he do it? How did he choose that route for his life ?. How did he get there? I don't remember the verbal questions that I asked him but, I knew that he had a lot of answers. I just listened to the last podcast that he made in 2023 and it was with great joy that I realized that my thoughts and my heart were in sync with his, in his joy in Christ. It has been 48 years since I met and talked with him but, I know that I will see him again and that we are still on the same page. He changed my life that day because instead of just hearing a sermon, I saw one. One that I could never forget.
