Lanny Dea Perry, 50, passed away suddenly on May 10, 2023, at his home in Reidsville.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00PM on Monday May 15, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 5:00-6:00PM and other times at his mother’s home, 2378 Bakers Crossroad Road in Reidsville.
Lanny was born on July 9, 1972, in Reidsville where he lived for most of his life. Lanny enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar, fixing electronics, collecting matchbox cars, and spending time with his family. Everyone who knew Lanny, knew how much he enjoyed making people laugh. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend who was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlean Sprinkle. Lanny is survived by his father, “Pop” Bruce Perry; mother, “Mama” Shirley Ann Sawyers; sister, Evonne Wood and husband Rodney; nieces, Hailey “Shrimp”, and Ciara; nephews, Austin “Mullet Head”, and Brian; close friends, Jerry and Dewayne.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Fresenius Rockingham Kidney Center, especially Laura, for all the love, support and care they have showed to Lanny and his family.

Non-monetary gifts may be given directly to the Fresenius Rockingham Kidney Center, 2206 Barnes St. Reidsville, North Carolina 27320.
