Laquetta Bailey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 26, 2025.

In Loving Memory

Our Dear Mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Laquetta Joy Bailey, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025 at her residence in Carefree, AZ. She was born on January 28, 1937 to Virginia Ruth Rose, in Waurika, Oklahoma.

Laquetta worked multiple jobs over the years. Eventually retiring after 25 years as a Supervisor for Continental Insurance Co. of Fort. Worth, Texas.

Laquetta is survived by her sister, Kathy Parks of Oklahoma; sons, David Frost (Della) of Utah, Eddie Frost (Cheryl) of Washington, and Gary Bailey of Texas; daughters, Angela Frost Alben (David) of Arizona; and Lynnora Bailey Tyree of Texas; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bailey, her mother, Virginia Ruth Hallock, sisters Patsy King, and Judy Aragona; brother Larry King, and ex-husband, Jarl Frost.

Laquetta's family was everything to her. She dedicated much of her life to them and loved them with all her heart. Her children and grandchildren were the centerpiece of her life, whom she was overjoyed to spend time with. In her personal time, Laquetta enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family, crocheting, knitting, gardening and reading.

Those who knew her will remember her for her love and kindness. In her final years, she was always trying to take care of the caregivers, and would share her bingo winnings with her co-residents.

Laquetta's wish was to be cremated. There will be a celebration of life held to honor her memory at a later date. Laquetta's Facebook page will remain memorialized, so those who knew her might find comfort in visiting her profile to post memories and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that you donate to Thecenterforchildren.org. Their fight to protect the rights of abused children, is a cause she always felt very impassioned about.

Laquetta's legacy will live on in the hearts of her posterity.
