Lar Park Lincoln Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 25 to Apr. 26, 2025.

Lar Park Lincoln, an actress best known for her work as Linda Fairgate in "Knots Landing," died April 22, 2025, at the age of 63.

Dallas-born Park Lincoln got her big break in 1987, when she was cast as Linda Fairgate in the prime-time drama "Knots Landing." She remained in the role for 48 episodes between 1987 and 1991. Around the same period, she also appeared in many popular shows of the era, including "Murder, She Wrote," "Highway to Heaven," "Tour of Duty," and "Beverly Hills 90210."

Park Lincoln's work was not limited to the small screen; she was in a number of films as well, including notable slasher movies like "Friday the 13th: The New Blood." She also founded Actors Audition Studios in Dallas and wrote the book "Get Started, Not Scammed," which offers advice to performers entering the entertainment business. She was nominated for a FANtastic Award for Best Actress for one of her final roles, 2021's "Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film."

Fans, friends, and colleagues paid tribute to her on social media. Actress Jennifer Banko, who appeared with her in "Friday the 13th: The New Blood," said on Facebook, "Thank you for being so kind to me as a child on the set of my first movie. It has been an honor to play you younger. I'm saddened that you won't be sitting next to me at Crypticon KC this year. I was really looking forward to putting my arms around you. Forever our Scream Queen. Forever our Tina Shepard. RIP."

Lay was one of a kind. A talent that will be missed. Lar had the ability to turn into a character with no notice and return to being a mentor without missing a beat. She loved her family deeply, including her poodles. Lar once allowed me to watch a class session and I saw first hand her commitment to others. Her legacy lives on in her family and students. Always in our hearts and minds.

There are really no words except my friend Lar impacted my life and my families. We were so very close in the late eighties and nineties. Holidays and many gatherings. I have so many memories and photos to tell our tale. My heart breaks as I was not there when she needed me. I am beyond proud of her daughter Piper and son Trevor. As Lar called them Michaels treasures. Her soul mates her hubby and babies. I love how her legacy is shining bright like a diamond. RIP BFF till we meet again Superstar. Love you forever xoxo

Lar lived life to the max. No matter what was going on, she kept going and gave her time and energy to her students with 1000% commitment. So many difficult auditions that she worked on with me until we were both happy. I will carry her spirit with me always. Love and miss you Lar!

Hello. I was a childhood friend of Lar´s. I lived across the street from her for several years when our fathers were stationed at Fort Hood. We were best friends and always had the such good times together. Summer days spent at the library, at the movies, playing school, Girl Scouts, Barbie´s, yard sales, creating haunted houses or at the pool. After her family moved to California, Lar came and stayed with us for a summer. More good times... I remember we got our hands on my dad´s movie camera and my mom`s old ball gowns and acted in, and filmed our own version of Gone with the Wind.
My family moved to Germany shortly after that, so it was years before we saw each other again as newly-married young women.
Sadly, over the years I lost touch with Lar, but never forgot her. Through social media, I was able to keep up with her busy life, and was always impressed with and proud of her work. Lar was always a go-getter when we were young, and it was obvious that she never changed!
I wish now I had made more of an effort to keep in touch. You always think you have more time...
Rest in peace, my dear childhood friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.
Prayers for Lar and her family,
Mary Rose Evans

Lar was a true inspiration who loved her craft and followed her dreams. She will always be remembered as a dear friend and excellent teacher. I will also miss her iced tea that she made for me when I visited. Those memories are precious and only a few amongst many that go back to the days she taught me at John Robert Powers to Actors Audition Studios. She will be coaching us from Heaven and encouraging us to keep her legacy strong! I love you, Lar!

Lar, as a fan of Knots Landing, you were one of my favorite characters. You played a great devious character and your acting talents will always be remembered. RIP and glad you are no longer in pain.
