Coach "Beck" was certainly a Player's coach that worked you hard in all aspects of the game on and off the field. I spent three years with him at William & Mary and as Coach he was demanding and yet a fun guy to be with. I will be forever grateful for the time I spent around Coach "Beck".

Beck was one helluva offensive line coach.l first met Beck as a player at William and Mary in 1968.Several years later (72&73) l was a GA at NC State, working with Beck on offense. He was a great OL coach. He was a great teacher of fundamentals and a very good coach on the black board. His players were extremely dedicated to Beck. They would follow him anywhere! His playbooks were works of art. He had a great personality -a character of sorts.R.I.P. Beck! Cav.

I had the good fortune to play under Larry at the college of William and Mary when Lou Holtz was the head coach. Larry was a wonderful football technician, but more importantly, he was one heck of a guy! I last saw Larry in Philadelphia when the Packers had come to town to play the Eagles. We shared a couple beverages, reminisced about time at WNM and I left thinking... he hasn´t changed one bit! Rest in peace, my friend! Jackson Neall
